Its 90 A continuous current rating and 45 kW at 400 V AC-3 rating tell you it handles a 45 kW 400 V motor load in standard starting duty, with a switching frequency up to 15 operations per hour.
Zero clearance required backwards or at the sides — you can pack breakers tight in a row without derating for air gaps. The 70 mm width, 165 mm height, and 174 mm depth fit a standard motor starter footprint; the any mounting position spec means vertical or horizontal rail orientation works. Screw-type box terminals on the main circuit accept solid 2x (2.5 to 16 mm²) or stranded 2x (10 to 50 mm²) and 1x (10 to 70 mm²), with AWG equivalents of 2x (10 to 1) and 1x (10 to 2). The auxiliary and control circuit uses separate screw terminals, and the product extension allows an auxiliary switch to be added.
Protection and electrical ratings
Rated voltage is 690 V, with AC-3 switching capability up to that same maximum. Breaking capacity falls with voltage: 100 kA at 240 V and 400 V, then 10 kA at 500 V, and 6 kA at 690 V. Surge voltage resistance is 6000 V, and touch protection is finger-safe (IP20 on the front). No ground fault or phase failure detection built in — this is a basic motor circuit protector, not a full electronic trip unit. Power loss in hot operating state is 38 W total, 12.7 W per pole.
