The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1952-1AE0 is an undervoltage release for 220...240 V AC and 220...250 V DC, for use with 3RV13 breakers. An undervoltage release is a shunt-trip accessory that automatically opens the breaker if the control voltage falls — a standard requirement for applications where an unexpected restart after a power dip could be hazardous, such as conveyor lines, machine tools, or process pumps. It mounts directly onto the breaker, so no additional DIN-rail space is consumed.
Integration with the breaker
This release clips onto the left side of a SIRIUS 3RV13 size S00 or S0 circuit breaker. No additional wiring is needed beyond the two control-voltage terminals — the mechanical trip linkage is built into the snap-on interface. The breaker's existing screw terminals accept 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²) solid or ferruled stranded wire, torqued to 0.8...1.2 N·m.
