Motor protection circuit breaker, SIRIUS series, S00 frame
The Siemens 3RV2011-0AA10-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker in the S00 frame size, designed for motor protection with Class 10 trip characteristics. The unit occupies 45 mm width and 97 mm depth on the rail, with 50 mm clearance required above and below for ventilation and arc-quenching.
Trip class and protection features
Class 10 trip means the bimetal releases within 10 seconds at 7.2× rated current — the standard for standard-duty induction motors starting against light loads. Ground fault detection is not included; for ground-fault protection, pair this breaker with a separate ground-fault relay or use a 3RV2 variant with the GF module.
Voltage and breaking capacity
Rated insulation voltage spans 20 to 690 V. The breaking capacity at 400 V AC is 100 kA, which covers most industrial distribution panels with transformer ratings up to 2 MVA. At 240 V AC the interrupting rating is also 100 kA. The 100 kA figure holds at 500 V and 690 V AC as well, giving selectivity headroom for downstream coordination studies.
Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C, with storage and transport tolerance from -50 to +80 °C. Temperature compensation is active across the full operating range, so the thermal trip curve stays within tolerance even in a hot panel. Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2×(0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2×4 mm². The screwdriver shaft diameter should be 5 to 6 mm, Pozidriv size 2.
