Motor protection circuit breaker, Size S00, Class 10
The Siemens 3RV2011-0BA10-ZW97 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker in the Size S00 frame, designed for motor protection with Trip Class 10 — meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting, fast enough to protect standard induction motors from locked-rotor heating without nuisance tripping on normal starts. Rated breaking capacity is 100 kA at 400 V AC (also 100 kA at 240 V, 500 V, and 690 V AC), giving substantial SCCR headroom for most industrial panel designs without requiring upstream current-limiting fuses. Built-in phase failure detection trips the breaker if one phase is lost — a common cause of single-phasing motor burnouts on delta-connected loads. Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715; mounting position is any, which simplifies panel layout in tight enclosures.
Panel integration and wiring
Occupies 45 mm width on the DIN rail, with a depth of 97 mm and height of 97 mm — a compact footprint for the Size S00 frame. Clearance requirements: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm at the sides, zero forward or backward clearance needed. Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2×(0.75…2.5 mm²) solid/stranded or 2×4 mm². Screwdriver shaft diameter 5 to 6 mm, Pozidriv size 2 tip. Operating temperature range -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport -50 to +80 °C.
