SIRIUS 3RV2011-0EA25 — motor protection circuit breaker, CLASS 10, 100 kA
The Siemens 3RV2011-0EA25 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker with a CLASS 10 trip class. Rated breaking capacity hits 100 kA at 400 V AC, so it safely interrupts bolted faults on a high-capacity distribution bus without cascading upstream — a spec that matters when the breaker sits downstream of a transformer or a large MCC. Phase failure detection is built in, meaning the breaker trips if one phase drops out — a common cause of single-phasing motor burnouts on unmonitored lines.
Mounting and wiring — DIN rail, spring terminals, any position
Fastens via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, and can be mounted in any position — no derating needed for horizontal or inverted orientation. Main current circuit uses spring-loaded terminals accepting 2× (0.5... 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire; strip length and ferrule size follow standard practice for this terminal family. At 45 mm wide and 97 mm deep, it occupies a single 45 mm DIN module — fits alongside contactors in a standard motor starter row without overhanging the DIN rail.
Clearance and ambient limits
Requires 50 mm clearance above and below the unit for air circulation and arc-quenching; side clearance is 30 mm. Zero clearance needed forward or backward. Operates from -20 to +60 °C ambient; storage and transport range extends from -50 to +80 °C.
