Motor protection circuit breaker, SIRIUS, 3RV2011-0GA25-ZW97
The Siemens 3RV2011-0GA25-ZW97 is a SIRIUS-branded motor protection circuit breaker designed for protecting motor circuits against overload and short-circuit. It is rated with a Trip Class 10, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at a locked-rotor current of 7.2× the setting current — the standard for standard-duty induction motor starting. The unit provides phase failure detection, so a lost phase on the line side will cause a trip, preventing single-phasing damage to the motor. Breaking capacity is 100 kA at both 240 V AC and 400 V AC, which covers most industrial distribution panels up to the service entrance. The main circuit connections use spring-loaded terminals (cage clamp), accepting 2× (0.5... 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded conductors — no screw torque to verify, which speeds panel wiring. Mounting is via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715, in any position. The 45 mm width (3 module spaces) and 97 mm depth fit standard enclosure layouts; allow 50 mm clearance above and below for airflow and terminal access.
Integration notes
The spring-loaded terminals accept 2× (0.5... 2.5 mm²) conductors — strip length per manufacturer recommendation for cage-clamp terminations. The unit occupies 45 mm of DIN rail width; with the required 50 mm clearance above and below, plan for roughly 145 mm of vertical panel space per breaker row. Operating temperature range is -20... +60 °C, with storage and transport range of -50... +80 °C. The temperature compensation is active across the full operating range, so the thermal trip curve stays accurate in warm enclosures.
