Rated operational voltage spans 20 to 690 V, and the interrupting capacity at 400 V is 100 kA — that's a high fault-current rating for a 45 mm wide device, so it can be used at the service entrance or in high-capacity distribution panels without needing upstream fuses. At 690 V, the SCCR is still 100 kA, backed by a gL/gG 6 A fuse coordination.
Compared to typical general-purpose miniature circuit breakers, the 3RV2011-0HA15 offers motor-specific protection: adjustable thermal overload (Class 10) and magnetic short-circuit release, plus phase failure detection. A standard MCB lacks these features and would not protect a motor from single-phasing or sustained overload.
