The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV2011-0HA15-ZW97 is a motor-protection circuit breaker designed for Class 10 trip characteristics, with a rated breaking capacity of 100 kA at 400 V, 500 V, and 690 V. It mounts via screw and snap-on onto a 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715, and its 45 mm width fits standard DIN-rail slots. Phase failure detection is built in, so it will trip on loss of a phase to protect the motor from single-phasing.
Compared to the base 3RV2011-0AA10 (which lacks the -ZW97 suffix and typically carries a lower breaking capacity or different auxiliary configuration), this -ZW97 variant retains the same 45 mm footprint and screw/snap-on rail mount but adds the full 100 kA SCCR at 400 V. That means it can be used in high-fault-capacity panels without needing an upstream current-limiting fuse for coordination — a genuine difference if your panel SCCR requirement is above 65 kA.
Mounting is straightforward: the breaker clips onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 and can also be screw-mounted. The screw-type terminals for the main current circuit accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire, with M3 screws. Any mounting position is allowed, and the 97 mm depth leaves enough clearance behind a standard 120 mm deep enclosure. Temperature compensation is active from -20 to +60 °C, so the thermal trip curve stays accurate across that range.
