What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RV2011-0HA20-ZW97 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker in the compact size S00 frame, designed to protect motor branches against overload, short-circuit, and phase failure. Its 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level without upstream fuses or cascading — a key spec for high-fault panels where selectivity matters. Trip Class 10 gives a 10-second maximum trip time at 7.2× rated current, matching standard motor start profiles for pumps, fans, and compressors.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, in any orientation. The 45 mm width and 97 mm depth fit standard panel layouts — the S00 frame is the smallest in the SIRIUS 3RV2 family, so it leaves room for adjacent contactors or overloads. Spring-loaded terminals accept 2× (0.5 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded wire; use a 3 mm diameter screwdriver tip for the terminal screws.
