Motor protection circuit breaker for DIN-rail panels
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV2011-0JA10-ZX95 is a motor protection circuit breaker designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715. It occupies a 45 mm wide footprint on the rail, with a depth of 97 mm and height of 97 mm, leaving 50 mm clearance above and below and 30 mm to the side for cooling and wiring access. Rated for motor protection duty, it offers a Class 10 trip characteristic — meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting, fast enough to protect standard induction motors against locked-rotor conditions without nuisance tripping on normal starts. Breaking capacity is 100 kA at 400 V AC (also at 240 V, 500 V, and 690 V AC), so it can safely interrupt a bolted fault on a high-capacity distribution panel without cascading upstream. Phase failure detection is built in — if one phase drops, the breaker trips to prevent single-phasing motor damage.
Mounting and wiring constraints
Mounting position is any, but the 50 mm upwards and downwards clearance must be maintained for arc quenching. Main circuit terminals accept solid or stranded wire: 2×(0.75…2.5 mm²) or 2×4 mm², terminated with M3 screws. The screw-type terminal design is standard for panel wiring — no special crimp tool needed. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C, with temperature compensation active across the same span. Storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C. The part is rated for use at supply voltages from 20 V to 690 V, covering most low-voltage motor control panels.
