The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV2011-0JA20-ZW97 is a motor-protective circuit breaker designed for motor protection in control panels. It mounts via screw and snap-on onto a 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715, fitting into the same DIN-rail footprint as the rest of the SIRIUS 3RV2 family. Rated breaking capacity hits 100 kA at 400 V AC — that is the short-circuit current it can safely interrupt without upstream fuses or a larger breaker taking over. The same 100 kA holds at 500 V and 690 V AC, so it handles high-fault panels without cascading. Trip Class 10 opens within 10 seconds. Phase failure detection is built in.
Mounting and wiring
Width is 45 mm, depth 97 mm, height 106 mm — a compact two-module-wide footprint that leaves room for contactors and overloads on the same rail. Mounting position is any orientation, which simplifies layout in tight enclosures. Main circuit connections use spring-loaded terminals accepting 2× (0.5 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded wire. No screw torque to check, no re-tightening on thermal cycles — just strip to the right length and push in. Clearance distances: 50 mm upwards and downwards, 30 mm at the sides, 0 mm forwards and backwards. That 0 mm backwards means it can sit flush against the back panel or another device.
