SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker, size S00 — 100 kA SCCR, Trip Class 10
The Siemens 3RV2011-0KA10-0BA0 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker in the size S00 frame, designed for motor protection with phase failure detection and Trip Class 10. It carries a 100 kA short-circuit breaking capacity at 400 V AC, 500 V AC, and 690 V AC — meaning it safely interrupts faults up to that level without cascading upstream, a key spec for panel SCCR compliance per IEC 60947-2 and UL 508A. Mounts via screw fixing or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, in any position.
What the ratings mean for fit
Trip Class 10 means the breaker trips within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — standard for standard-duty motor starting where the inrush doesn't linger. The 100 kA SCCR at 400 V and 690 V is the same across the board, so you don't lose headroom on higher-voltage lines. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost leg drops the load instead of single-phasing the motor. The 97 mm depth and 45 mm width fit the S00 footprint, which is the smallest SIRIUS frame — useful when panel space is tight.
Panel integration
Screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715. Any mounting position allowed. Screw-type terminals for the main current circuit accept 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x 4 mm². The screwdriver shaft diameter is 5 to 6 mm, Pozidriv size 2 tip. Clearance: 50 mm upwards and downwards, 30 mm to the side, 0 mm forwards and backwards — so you can butt it against the backplane and adjacent devices with minimal gap.
