What this part is and what it does
The Siemens 3RV2011-0KA15-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor protection, with built-in phase failure detection. It is rated Trip Class 10, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds under locked-rotor conditions — the standard for protecting standard induction motors against overload. The breaker carries a 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V, 480 V, 500 V, and 690 V, so it safely interrupts fault currents up to that level without cascading upstream. At 230 V it is rated for 0.2 kW motor load.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The body is 45 mm wide, 97 mm deep, and 97 mm tall — a standard 45 mm module that fits a typical motor starter combi-stack. Mounting position is any orientation. Clearances: 50 mm upwards and downwards, 30 mm at the sides, 0 mm forwards and backwards — so you can butt it against the back panel or adjacent devices without extra air gap.
Terminals and wiring
Main current circuit uses screw-type terminals (M3 for main contacts). Accepts solid or stranded conductors: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²). Auxiliary contacts are rated at 1 A at 24 V, 0.5 A at 120/125/230 V, and 0.15 A at 60 V — sufficient for signaling to a PLC input or contactor coil.
