The 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V (also 100 kA at 240 V, 500 V, and 690 V) lets this breaker sit upstream of a motor starter without requiring a separate current-limiting fuse in most industrial distribution panels. The main circuit uses spring-loaded terminals — no screw tightening needed, which speeds panel wiring and eliminates the risk of loose connections on high-vibration motor circuits.
Clearance requirements: 50 mm upwards and downwards, 30 mm at the sides — zero clearance forwards and backwards. That means the breaker can sit flush against the back panel and the enclosure door, but needs breathing space above and below for arc quenching and thermal dissipation.
Switching capacity and coordination
At 230 V, the motor power rating is 0.2 kW. The auxiliary contact ratings cover a range of control voltages: 1 A at 24 V, 0.5 A at 120/125/230 V, and 0.15 A at 60 V. The maximum operating rate is 15 switching cycles per hour for AC-3 and AC-3e duty — adequate for motor start/stop applications but not for high-speed jogging or reversing.
