What this SIRIUS breaker does on the line
The Siemens 3RV2011-1BA15-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker — it combines short-circuit and overload protection in one device, sized for motor feeders. Class 10 trip curve means it clears overloads fast enough to protect standard induction motors during start-up without nuisance tripping. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost phase on the line side won't cook the winding while the motor tries to single-phase.
Interrupting capacity — what the ratings actually mean
The 100 kA interrupting rating at 400 V and 500 V tells you this breaker can clear a bolted fault at the panel main bus without exploding — it's sized for high-fault installations where upstream transformers are close. At 690 V the rating drops to 10 kA, still adequate for most 690 V motor circuits. The gL/gG fuse coordination values (25 A at 400/500 V, 20 A at 690 V) are the maximum upstream fuse size that still lets the breaker do its job — useful when you're coordinating with a fused disconnect ahead of it.
Panel fit and mounting
Mounts on 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715, screw or snap-on. The 45 mm width is a standard 2.5 TE module — it'll fit alongside contactors and relays in a typical motor control center row. Any mounting position works, which simplifies layout when you're tight on vertical space. Clearance requirements: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm to the side for heat dissipation and arc venting.
