DIN-rail mounting and panel fit
The 3RV2011-1BA20-ZW96: Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715, in any orientation. The 45 mm width occupies a single 9 mm modular-width slot on the rail — standard for a motor-protection device in a motor control center (MCC) bucket. Depth of 97 mm and height of 106 mm leave clearance for wiring ducts and adjacent devices; minimum spacing of 50 mm upwards and downwards and 30 mm at the sides ensures adequate heat dissipation for the thermal-magnetic trip mechanism. Spring-loaded terminals accept 2× (0.5 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded conductors, reducing wiring time versus screw-clamp terminals.
Breaking capacity and fuse coordination
The 3RV2011-1BA20-ZW96 carries a 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC and 500 V AC, dropping to 10 kA at 690 V. For applications above 690 V or where the available fault current exceeds the breaker's rating, the spec table shows required upstream gL/gG fuse ratings: 25 A at 400 V and 500 V, 20 A at 690 V. This coordination data is essential for the panel builder's arc-flash study and selective coordination study. Compared to the 3RV1011-0GA10, which is a smaller-frame SIRIUS breaker with a lower interrupting rating, the 3RV2011-1BA20-ZW96 offers the higher 100 kA SCCR needed on high-fault utility feeds — a deciding factor when the available fault current at the panel exceeds 65 kA.
Environmental and storage limits
Operating temperature range of -20 to +60 °C with temperature compensation active across the same span keeps the thermal trip curve stable despite ambient shifts in a non-conditioned enclosure. Storage and transport range of -50 to +80 °C covers cold-weather warehousing and container shipping. The current lifecycle stage means no end-of-life notice is in effect; the part is specified into new BOMs without requalification risk.
