What this SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker carries
The Siemens 3RV2011-1BA20-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker. Its breaking capacity is 100 kA at 400 V AC and 10 kA at 690 V AC. Trip Class 10 means the bimetal releases within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — fast enough to protect standard IEC induction motors from stall or locked-rotor conditions. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost phase on a three-phase motor trips the breaker instead of letting the motor single-phase and burn. The 45 mm wide housing clips onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715, with a 97 mm depth that leaves room for wiring behind the panel door. Spring-loaded terminals accept 2× (0.5 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded — no screw torque to verify, just strip and push. Mounting position is any, so it fits tight enclosures where you'd rather lay the rail horizontally.
Integration — what fits alongside it
The 45 mm width matches the standard SIRIUS contactor footprint. Clearance requirements: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm to the side, zero forward or backward. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C, storage -50 to +80 °C. Spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit reduce wiring time on a panel build. The auxiliary contact block (not included) clips onto the side without increasing width — order separately if remote status or PLC feedback is needed.
