Motor protection circuit breaker, SIRIUS, 2 A, CLASS 10
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV2011-1BA25-ZW96 is a motor protection circuit breaker sized S00, designed to protect motors against overload and short-circuit conditions. Its CLASS 10 trip class means it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2x the thermal current setting — the standard for standard-duty induction motors driving pumps, fans, and conveyors where a fast trip prevents winding damage during a stall or jam. Rated operational current is 2 A, with a magnetic short-circuit release set at 26 A. The breaker handles fault currents up to 100 kA at 240 V, 400 V, and 500 V AC, and 10 kA at 690 V AC — sufficient for most industrial panel SCCR requirements when coordinated with upstream fuses or a main breaker. Termination is via spring-type terminals, which accept solid or stranded copper up to 4 mm² per conductor. The breaker ships with factory-installed transverse auxiliary switches: 1 NO + 1 NC contact for remote status indication or interlocking.
Panel integration and mounting
The S00 frame snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, or can be screw-mounted. Dimensions are 97 mm deep, 45 mm wide, 97 mm high. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with zero clearance — no derating required for adjacent units at the rated current.
