The Siemens 3RV2011-1CA10-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed to protect motors against overload and short circuit. It carries a Class 10 trip characteristic, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — fast enough to protect most standard induction motors during a stall or jam. Rated for 100 kA SCCR at 400 V and 500 V, and 10 kA at 690 V, this breaker can safely interrupt high fault currents without upstream damage. The high interrupting capacity makes it suitable for installations with large transformers or strong utility feeds. Mounts via screw and snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, occupying 45 mm of panel width. Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2× (0.75–2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2× 4 mm² — straightforward for a panel builder.
Phase failure detection is built in — if one phase drops, the breaker trips, preventing single-phasing damage to the motor. No ground fault detection on this variant; if that's needed, look at the -Z or -ZR suffix options. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C, with storage and transport from -50 to +80 °C. Temperature compensation is active across the operating range, keeping the thermal trip curve stable regardless of enclosure heat buildup. Mounting position is any — horizontal, vertical, or flat — so it fits tight enclosures without derating the trip settings. Clearance requirements: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm to the sides, zero forward or backward.
