Motor protection circuit breaker, CLASS 10, 100 kA SCCR
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV2011-1DA10-ZX95 is a motor protection circuit breaker designed for direct motor starting and protection. It carries a CLASS 10 trip class, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — fast enough to protect standard induction motors during a locked-rotor event without nuisance tripping on normal starts. Rated short-circuit breaking capacity hits 100 kA at 400 V, which covers most industrial distribution panels without needing upstream fuses for current-limiting coordination. At 690 V it still holds 10 kA, enough for IT systems or older 600 V class plants. Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. Panel cutout is 45 mm wide, 97 mm tall, and the body depth is 97 mm — standard for the SIRIUS 3RV2 frame. Any mounting position allowed, so it fits tight enclosures or horizontal bus layouts.
Clearance and integration
Minimum clearances to adjacent components: 50 mm upwards, 50 mm downwards, 30 mm to the side. Zero clearance required forwards or backwards — the breaker can be mounted flush against a panel backplate or enclosure wall. Ambient operating range -20 to +60 °C with temperature compensation active across the same span. Storage and transport range -50 to +80 °C. The breaker derates above 40 °C per the thermal curve; the compensation keeps the trip curve accurate across the operating band.
