SIRIUS 3RV2011-1EA10-0BA0 Motor Protection Circuit Breaker
The Siemens 3RV2011-1EA10-0BA0 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker in Size S00, designed to protect motors against overload and short-circuit in a single device. Its Trip Class 10 means it trips within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — the standard for standard-duty motor starting, not for high-inertia loads that need Class 20. The breaker detects phase failure, so a lost phase on the line side will drop the motor offline before single-phasing damages the winding. Breaking capacity is 100 kA at both 240 V and 400 V AC, which covers most industrial service-entrance and distribution-panel fault levels. At 690 V it drops to 4 kA — still adequate for 690 V motor branch circuits in steel or cement plants, but verify the available fault current at that voltage. The backup fuse recommendation at 690 V is gG 25 A; at 400 V and below, gG 32 A. Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715. The 45 mm width is the standard S00 footprint — fits alongside contactors in a coordinated starter assembly without extra spacing. Any mounting position is allowed, so it can go sideways in a tight panel as long as the ambient stays within -50 to +60 °C during operation.
Panel Fit — Size S00 Footprint
The 3RV2011-1EA10-0BA0 occupies the S00 frame: 45 mm wide, 97 mm deep, 97 mm tall. Clearance requirements are 50 mm upward and downward, 30 mm to the side, and zero forward or backward. That means it can be stacked tight front-to-back in a multi-row enclosure, but needs breathing room above and below for arc-quenching and terminal access. Terminals are screw-type for the main current circuit, accepting 2×(0.75…2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2×4 mm². Screwdriver shaft diameter 5 to 6 mm, Pozidriv size 2 tip. No ground-fault detection built in — if GF protection is needed, add an external module or use a different SIRIUS variant.
