SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker — 3RV2011-1EA25-0BA0
The Siemens 3RV2011-1EA25-0BA0 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed for protecting three-phase induction motors against overload and short-circuit. It is a current-production part, actively sourced through independent distribution channels. Rated for CLASS 10 trip characteristics, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting current — the standard for protecting standard induction motors during locked-rotor starts. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost phase on the line side triggers a trip before the motor single-phases to failure. Breaking capacity is 100 kA at 400 V AC, which covers most industrial distribution panels without requiring upstream current-limiting fuses. At 690 V AC the rating drops to 4 kA — verify the available fault current at the point of installation if running on a 690 V line.
Mounting and panel integration
Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. Any mounting position is permitted, so vertical or horizontal rail orientation is fine. Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 106 mm tall, and 97 mm deep — fits a standard 45 mm modular device slot on the rail. Clearance requirements: 50 mm upwards, 50 mm downwards, 30 mm at the side, and 0 mm forwards and backwards. The 0 mm forward clearance means the breaker can be mounted flush against a panel door or cover without additional air gap. Main circuit terminals are spring-loaded (cage-clamp) type, accepting 2 × (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. No screw torque to verify — strip to 8 mm and push in.
