Motor protection circuit breaker for panel builders
The Siemens 3RV2011-1FA15 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker with CLASS 10 trip. Phase failure detection is built in. Rated breaking capacity hits 100 kA at 400 V and 500 V, and 100 kA at 240 V — that is the SCCR the breaker can safely interrupt under fault conditions, which sets the panel's short-circuit current rating. At 690 V the capacity drops to 4 kA, so verify the available fault current at that voltage level before specifying.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The 45 mm width matches the standard 1-module footprint for this class of breaker, so it fits existing panel layouts without re-spacing. Any mounting position is allowed, which simplifies layout in tight enclosures. Terminals accept 2× (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2× (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. Main contact terminals are M3 screw type. Clearance distances: 50 mm upwards and downwards, 30 mm at the sides — factor those into your enclosure sizing for heat dissipation and arc-flash clearance.
