SIRIUS 3RV2011-1GA10-ZW97 — Motor Protection Circuit Breaker, Class 10, 100 kA
The Siemens 3RV2011-1GA10-ZW97 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker with Class 10 trip characteristic. The interrupting rating hits 100 kA at 400 V and 500 V, so it handles high-fault-current panels without cascading upstream. At 690 V the SCCR drops to 4 kA — still adequate for most 690 V motor circuits, but verify coordination if the available fault current exceeds that. Rated voltage range is 20 to 690 V, covering low-voltage control circuits up to 690 V line. The breaker detects phase failure but does not include ground-fault detection — that would need an add-on module or a separate ground-fault relay. Mounting is via screw and snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The 45 mm width and 97 mm depth mean it fits standard panel layouts with 50 mm clearance above and below and 30 mm at the sides. No forward or backward clearance needed.
Integration — DIN Rail, Screw Terminals, Clearances
The screw-type terminals accept 2x 0.75 to 2.5 mm² solid or stranded, or 2x 4 mm². Main contact screws are M3. Mounting position is any, so horizontal or vertical panel layouts work. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C. The 97 mm height and 45 mm width leave room for adjacent breakers or contactors in a motor starter combination.
Delta — vs. 3RV2021-1GA15 (Higher-Rated Sibling)
The 3RV2021-1GA15 is a larger frame with higher continuous current rating. The 3RV2011-1GA10-ZW97 is the 45 mm compact frame.
