The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV2011-1HA20-ZW97 is a motor protection circuit breaker designed to protect three-phase induction motors against overload, short-circuit, and phase failure. It carries a Trip Class 10 rating, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — fast enough to protect standard IEC motors without nuisance tripping on startup inrush. The breaker is rated for 50 A gL/gG at 400 V, with a short-circuit breaking capacity of 100 kA at 400 V, so it can safely interrupt high-fault currents on a 400 V distribution system without needing an upstream current-limiting device.
Mounting and Integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715, in any position. The 45 mm width and 97 mm depth fit a standard 45 mm-wide DIN slot — no extra side clearance needed beyond 30 mm at the side and 50 mm above/below for ventilation and wiring access. Spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit accept 2×(0.5–4 mm²) solid or stranded wire, so no lug crimping for panel wiring up to that gauge.
