The Siemens 3RV2011-1HA25 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed to protect motor branch circuits against overloads and short circuits. It snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 and accepts spring-loaded terminals for the main current circuit. Trip Class 10 means it disconnects within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting, matching the thermal curve of standard IEC induction motors up to 1 hp at 230 V. Phase failure detection is built in, so it catches a lost phase before the motor cooks. The interrupting rating hits 100 kA at both 240 V and 400 V — enough to handle high-fault-current panels without cascading upstream. At 690 V it still clears 4 kA.
Mounting & Wiring
Mounts in any position via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail. The 45 mm width takes one standard DIN space; depth is 97 mm. Clearance required: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm to the side. Spring-loaded terminals accept 2× (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded copper. No ring lugs needed — strip, insert, release.
Auxiliary Contact Ratings
Auxiliary contacts are rated 1 A at 24 V, 0.5 A at 120/125/230 V, and 0.15 A at 60 V. These are the contact ratings for the built-in aux switch — enough to signal a PLC input or drop out a holding contactor.
