The Siemens 3RV2011-1KA20-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker, designed to protect motors against overload and short-circuit. It is a CLASS 10 device. This breaker snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, or can be screw-mounted. Its 45 mm width and 97 mm depth fit standard panel layouts, and the spring-loaded terminals accept 2× (0.5 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded wire — no tool needed for termination, which cuts wiring time on a multi-motor panel. Rated operating voltage spans 20 to 690 V. The interrupting capacity at 400 V is 100 kA, giving solid SCCR headroom for most industrial distribution. At 690 V it still clears 4 kA, so it handles fault energy on 690 V line-fed motors. Phase failure detection is built in — if one phase drops, the breaker trips, preventing single-phasing damage to the motor. Ground fault detection is not included, so for ground-fault protection you'd add a separate module upstream.
Mounting & Clearance
Mounting position is any orientation. Required clearances: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm to the side, 0 mm forward and backward — so it can sit flush against a backplate or panel door. This matters when packing breakers tightly in a motor control center.
