Motor protection circuit breaker for 100 kA fault levels
Trip Class 10 ensures it trips fast enough to protect standard 4-pole motors during locked-rotor starts, clearing before the rotor insulation overheats.
Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²) or 2x (2.5 to 10 mm²) solid or stranded conductors, sized for standard motor branch circuits. Clearance: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm to the sides, zero forward or backward.
Protection features and operating limits
No ground fault detection on this variant. Rated operational voltage range is 20 to 690 V. Maximum switching rate at AC-3 duty is 15 operations per hour.
The 3RV2021-0CA10 carries a current lifecycle stage per Siemens. No official successor has been published, so this remains the active order code for new designs requiring Size S0, Trip Class 10 motor protection with 100 kA SCCR.
