It combines a thermal-magnetic overload relay with a magnetic short-circuit release in one device, so it protects the motor and the branch circuit from a single DIN-rail footprint. Rated at 1.6 A in AC-3 duty at 400 V, this breaker handles the starting and running current of a small motor (0.3 kW at 230 V) while providing 100 kA breaking capacity across the 230–690 V range.
The S0 frame is 45 mm wide, 97 mm deep, and 119 mm tall, with 50 mm clearance required above and below, and 30 mm to the side — plan the enclosure cutout and gland plate accordingly. A 3 mm diameter screwdriver shaft is needed for the terminal screws. No ground fault detection on this variant, but the spring terminals speed up panel wiring versus screw-clamp alternatives.
