Motor protection circuit breaker for panel integration
The 97 mm depth keeps the device within typical enclosure clearances.
Breaking capacity and voltage range
Rated for 20 to 690 V AC, the 3RV2021-1BA10 delivers 100 kA breaking capacity at 240 V, 400 V, and 500 V AC, dropping to 10 kA at 690 V AC. This covers most industrial motor branch circuits up to 690 V without requiring upstream fuses for fault currents below those thresholds.
Motor power ratings and trip class
The Class 10 trip characteristic matches standard induction motor starting profiles, allowing up to 15 switching operations per hour at AC-3 duty. Motor power ratings reach 0.13 hp at 230 V, 1 hp at 460/480 V, and 1 hp at 575/600 V, making it suited for fractional-horsepower pumps, fans, and conveyors in light industrial panels.
Phase failure detection and wiring
Built-in phase failure detection trips the breaker on loss of any phase, protecting motors from single-phasing damage. Main circuit terminals are M4 screw-type, accepting 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²) or 2x (2.5 to 10 mm²) solid or stranded conductors. A 5 to 6 mm screwdriver shaft is required for termination.
Mountable in any position, with 50 mm clearance required above and below, 30 mm at the sides, and 0 mm forward/backward clearance. No ground fault detection is included.
