Motor protection circuit breaker for the panel builder
That 100 kA figure is the short-circuit current it can safely interrupt — not the continuous rating, so match the thermal setting to your motor FLA. It includes phase failure detection, so if you lose a phase on the line side, the breaker will trip instead of letting the motor single-phase and burn up. No ground fault detection on this model — that's a separate accessory.
Mounting and wiring realities
Width is 45 mm, depth is 97 mm. Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept up to 2× 2.5 mm² stranded or 2× 1.5 mm² solid. The main contact terminals are M4. Minimum clearance distances: 50 mm upward and downward, 30 mm to the sides. That's for arc flash and heat dissipation — don't cram it against the enclosure wall or another device without those gaps.
