It provides phase failure detection and is rated for operating voltages from 20 to 690 V.
The 3RV2021-4AA15 delivers a breaking capacity of 100 kA at 240 V rated value — that is the short-circuit current it can safely interrupt at that voltage. At 400 V rated value the breaking capacity is 25 kA, and at 690 V rated value it drops to 2 kA. For motor sizing, it is rated at 2 hp at 230 V rated value, and carries a rated current of 16 A at both 480 V and 600 V rated values. The trip class is CLASS 10, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — standard for protecting standard induction motors during startup.
The breaker measures 45 mm wide, 97 mm deep, and 97 mm high. Required clearances for heat dissipation: 50 mm upwards, 50 mm downwards, and 30 mm at the side. It accepts solid or stranded conductors: 2× (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2× (0.75 to 2.5 mm²). Main contact terminals are M4 screws.
