The Siemens 3RV2021-4EA15-0BA0 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor protection, with CLASS 10 trip characteristic and integrated phase failure detection. It is rated for 7.5 kW at 230 V and delivers a breaking capacity of 10 kA at 400 V AC, meaning it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level on a 400 V line without cascading upstream. The CLASS 10 trip class means it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× rated current — the standard for protecting standard induction motors during start-up, so you don't get nuisance trips on a normal acceleration curve.
Mounting and integration
Snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 and can also be screw-mounted. The 45 mm width (3 module spaces) fits standard enclosure rail layouts. Any mounting position is permitted, which simplifies panel layout when space is tight. Terminal connections are screw-type for the main circuit, accepting 2× (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2× (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire.
