Motor protection circuit breaker with Class 10 trip and 100 kA SCCR
The Siemens 3RV2031-4DA10 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker with a Class 10 trip characteristic. Its interrupting capacity reaches 100 kA at 240 V and 30 kA at 400 V, so it can be applied on high-fault panels without an upstream current-limiting fuse for most industrial services up to 400 V. Phase failure detection is built in, which prevents single-phasing damage on three-phase motors — a common failure mode that a standard thermal-magnetic breaker would not catch.
Mounting and panel integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with any mounting position allowed. Required clearances: 50 mm above and below, 10 mm at the sides — these are the minimum air gaps for arc quenching and heat dissipation, not optional for the rated breaking capacity. Dimensions are 55 mm wide, 140 mm high, 149 mm deep — fits a standard 55 mm modular device footprint on the DIN rail.
