The Class 20 trip curve means it allows up to 20 seconds at 600% rated current before opening — that's the standard for general-purpose induction motors driving pumps, fans, and conveyors. Breaking capacity is what decides whether it holds on a fault: 100 kA at 240 V, 30 kA at 400 V, and 3 kA at 690 V. At 400 V, that 30 kA covers most industrial panelboards without needing a current-limiting upstream fuse.
It takes screw-type terminals on the main circuit — 2x 1–25 mm² solid/stranded or 1x up to 35 mm². The M6 contact bolts are what you'll torque for the line and load connections. Side clearance is only 10 mm, so you can pack breakers tight on the rail; upward and downward clearance is 50 mm for arc chute venting. Mounting position is any, which helps when the panel layout gets tight. Ambient range during operation is -20 to +60 °C — fine for a warm cabinet next to a motor starter.
