The Siemens 3RV2031-4EA15-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor branch circuits. It combines a thermal-magnetic overload relay and a magnetic short-circuit release in one device, sized for a 55 mm wide DIN-rail footprint. The 30 kA breaking capacity at 400 V means it can safely interrupt a fault current of that magnitude without upstream fuses — a real advantage when coordinating a panel's SCCR. Trip Class 10 gives a 10-second cold-trip at 7.2× rated current, fast enough to protect standard induction motors from locked-rotor damage.
Mounting & Integration
Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715. The 55 mm width and 149 mm depth fit a standard panel layout. Any mounting position is allowed. Main contact terminals accept 2×(0.5…1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2×(0.75…2.5 mm²) — no special lugs needed for typical motor-circuit wiring. Clearance: 50 mm upward and downward, 10 mm at the side, 0 mm forward and backward.
