Motor protection circuit breaker, CLASS 10 trip, 30 kA SCCR
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV2031-4WA10-ZX95 is a motor protection circuit breaker designed for Class 10 trip response — it opens within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting, which keeps the motor winding below damage threshold during a locked-rotor event. Rated breaking capacity hits 30 kA at 400 V, so it can safely interrupt a fault up to that level without the upstream breaker needing to clear it. Phase failure detection is built in; ground fault detection is not.
DIN-rail footprint and panel fit
Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715. Dimensions are 55 mm wide, 140 mm tall, 149 mm deep. The 55 mm width is a three-module footprint on the rail — plan for that slot count when laying out a multi-breaker panel. Clearance requirements: 50 mm above and below, 10 mm to the side, zero forward or backward. Any mounting position is acceptable.
Termination and wiring
Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2×(1–35 mm²) or 1×(1–50 mm²) solid or stranded copper. Torque spec for the M6 main contact screws — standard for this current class. The terminals are sized for the 52 A continuous rating at 480/600 V.
Environmental range
Operating temperature spans –20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is –50 to +80 °C. Temperature compensation is active across the full operating range. Rated voltage covers 20–690 V.
