The breaking capacity numbers tell you where this breaker can live on the fault-current food chain: 100 kA at 240 V, 50 kA at 400 V, 10 kA at 500 V, and 5 kA at 690 V. At 400 V — common in industrial three-phase — 50 kA is enough for most secondary distribution panels without an upstream current-limiting fuse. The motor horsepower equivalents line up: 3 hp at 230 V, 5 hp at 200/208 V and 220/230 V, 10 hp at 460/480 V, 15 hp at 575/600 V. That 14 A at 480 V and 600 V tells you the continuous current rating. Mounting position is any, which helps when you're packing breakers tight in a panel.
Terminals and wiring
Main contacts use screw-type terminals, M6 thread. Wire range: 2x 1–35 mm² solid or stranded, or a single 1–50 mm². That covers most motor feeds up to maybe 10–15 hp without a splice. Strip and torque per the nameplate — no special crimp tool needed.
