It is designed for motor protection with overload relay function, meaning it handles both short-circuit and sustained overload protection for three-phase induction motors up to 690 V.
Breaking capacity and fault clearing
For a motor branch circuit fed from a transformer of several hundred kVA, that rating means the breaker clears the fault before upstream devices need to coordinate.
The 65 mm width occupies three standard 18 mm module spaces — check your rail fill before committing the BOM. Depth is 97 mm, height 97 mm. Clearance requirements: 50 mm upwards and downwards, 30 mm at the side, zero forwards or backwards. Those clearances are for arc venting and heat dissipation — respect them in a crowded panel.
Environmental and operational limits
The auxiliary contact ratings: 1 A at 24 V, 1.5 A at 230 V — these are the switching capacities for the internal auxiliary contact used for status feedback to a PLC or motor starter interlock.
