It is designed for motor protection with phase failure detection, so it catches a lost phase before the winding cooks. The breaking capacity is 100 kA at 400 V AC — that's the same rating across 240 V, 500 V, and 690 V as well, so it sits confidently in a high-fault panel without worrying about cascading failure upstream.
The 65 mm width is a standard 3-module footprint, so it fills three slots on the rail. Any mounting position is allowed — no derating for horizontal or vertical orientation. Terminals are M3 screw-type for the main circuit, accepting 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded copper. Clearance: 50 mm needed above and below the device, 30 mm at the sides, and 0 mm forward or backward — so you can pack them tight in a row as long as you leave breathing space top and bottom.
