The 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC (and at 240, 500, 690 V AC) means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level without cascading upstream, which is the figure that governs SCCR for the panel.
Any mounting position is permitted. Clearance: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm at the sides; zero forward or backward clearance needed, so it can sit tight against the back panel or enclosure wall.

Both are SIRIUS size S00 circuit breakers on the same 35 mm DIN-rail footprint, so the mechanical fit is identical. Terminal type differs — the 3RV2311-0DC20 uses spring-loaded terminals; the 3RV2011-0BA20 uses screw terminals. If the panel wiring was terminated for screw clamps, the spring-clamp terminals accept the same conductor range (2x 0.5–4 mm² solid or stranded), so no rewiring is needed — just strip to the correct length for the spring cage.
