Panel-fit and mounting
The Siemens 3RV2321-1DC20 SIRIUS circuit breaker is designed for starter combinations, with a width of 45 mm, height of 119 mm, and depth of 97 mm, so it occupies a standard three-module-wide footprint on a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. Clearance requirements: 50 mm upwards, 0 mm forwards, 0 mm backwards, 50 mm downwards, and 30 mm at the side, so the breaker can be packed tightly side-by-side and back-to-panel in a control cabinet.
Breaking capacity and motor ratings
Rated breaking capacity reaches 100 kA at 240 V AC, 400 V AC, and 500 V AC, stepping down to 10 kA at 690 V AC, so it handles high-fault-current industrial mains without cascading upstream breakers. Motor horsepower ratings: 0.25 hp at 230 V, 0.75 hp at 220/230 V, 2 hp at 460/480 V and 575/600 V, with a rated operational current of 3.2 A at 480 V and 600 V. Maximum switching rate is 15 operations per hour under AC-3 and AC-3e duty, suitable for occasional motor starting in conveyor or pump applications.
