What it is and where it fits
The Siemens 3RV2411-1EA20-0DA0 is a SIRIUS circuit breaker specifically designed for transformer protection, size S00. It snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 and accepts spring-loaded terminals on the main current circuit. The CLASS 10 trip class means it will hold through a transformer inrush and still trip on a hard fault — that's the right curve for a dry-type or small cast-coil unit feeding a control panel.
Breaking capacity and backup protection
Rated breaking capacity hits 100 kA at 240 V, 400 V, and 500 V AC; at 690 V it drops to 6 kA AC. That 100 kA at 400 V is the number your SCCR study needs — it means this breaker can interrupt a bolted fault up to that level without welding its contacts or venting arc gas into the enclosure. For backup protection, the manufacturer specifies gG fuse ratings: 32 A at 400 V and 500 V, 25 A at 690 V. If you're coordinating with an upstream fuse, those are the maximums the breaker relies on for its rated short-circuit performance.
Mounting and clearances
Fastens by screw or snap-on onto 35 mm rail. Mounting position is any, which simplifies panel layout. Required clearances: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm to the side, zero forward or backward. The 45 mm width and 97 mm depth mean it fits a standard 45 mm slot on a DIN rail — no overhang into the next position. Ambient operating range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport tolerate -50 to +80 °C.
