Transformer protection breaker with 100 kA interrupting capacity
There is no ground fault detection, so pair this with a residual-current device if ground-fault protection is required.
DIN-rail fit and clearance envelope
That 50 mm vertical gap is the one that catches panel builders — skimp on it and you lose the arc-chamber venting path. Terminals accept 2x (1…2.5 mm²) or 2x (2.5…10 mm²) solid or stranded copper, with M4 screw-type terminals for the main circuit.
Fuse backup coordination
When the prospective fault current exceeds the breaker's interrupting capacity at your system voltage, the 3RV2421-1GA10 requires upstream gL/gG fuses: 50 A at 400 V, 40 A at 500 V, 35 A at 690 V. These are the maximum fuse ratings for backup protection — do not oversize them or the coordination fails.
