The breaking capacity at 400 V is 25 kA, which handles most industrial secondary-side faults. At 690 V it still breaks 2 kA, useful for 690 V line applications. No ground fault detection — that's handled separately downstream if needed.
Mounting position is any, which helps in tight enclosures. Required clearances: 50 mm upward and downward, 30 mm to the side, zero forward and backward. That 0 mm backward clearance means it can sit flush against the back panel — no air gap needed behind the breaker body. Main contact terminals are M4 screws, accepting 2×(1–2.5 mm²) or 2×(2.5–10 mm²) solid or stranded wire. That covers most panel wiring up to 10 mm² without needing lugs.
Environmental limits and operating conditions
Maximum switching rate at AC-3 duty is 15 operations per hour, which is typical for transformer primary switching — not meant for frequent motor starts.
This is a current-production part from the Siemens SIRIUS line. No end-of-life notice or successor has been issued. For BOM freeze or PCN watch, the SIRIUS family has a long track record of stable supply.
