Transformer-protection circuit breaker, SIRIUS series
Interrupting capacity is 100 kA at 240 V, 30 kA at 400 V, 6 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V — so it handles high-fault utility feeds at the lower voltages and still clears moderate faults at 690 V.
Trip class and motor matching
CLASS 10 trip means the breaker opens within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — fast enough for most standard induction motor starts but not for high-inertia loads that need CLASS 20 or 30. The 3RV2431-4DA10-ZX95 also carries motor horsepower ratings: 5 hp at 230 V, 2 hp at 110/120 V, 7.5 hp at 200/208 V, and 10 hp at 220/230 V. Compared to the 3RV2023-4DA10, the 3RV2431-4DA10-ZX95 is a physically larger frame (149 mm deep vs the 3RV2's roughly 90 mm) and offers higher interrupting capacity — the 3RV2 family typically tops out at 55 kA at 400 V. The 3RV2431-4DA10-ZX95 will not drop into a panel cutout designed for the 3RV2023 without checking mounting hole spacing and bus bar takeoff points.
Screw-type terminals on the main current circuit accept 2×(1–25 mm²) or 1×(1–35 mm²) solid or stranded copper. The M6 main contact fasteners are standard for this frame class. Maximum switching frequency at AC-3 duty is 15 operations per hour — fine for infrequent motor starting, not for jogging or rapid cycling.
