SIRIUS circuit breaker, size S00 — 100 kA SCCR for system protection
The Siemens 3RV2711-1GD10 is a SIRIUS-brand circuit breaker in the compact S00 frame, designed for system protection per UL 489 and CSA C22.2 No. 5. It delivers 100 kA short-circuit current rating (SCCR) at 400 V AC and 500 V AC, dropping to 4 kA at 690 V AC — numbers that tell you it can sit upstream of a panel without needing a current-limiting fuse for most industrial service. The breaker mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, and the S00 size (97 mm deep, 45 mm wide, 144 mm tall) fits standard panel layouts with 70 mm clearance above and below, 30 mm to the sides.
Backup fuse coordination — gG ratings by voltage
When upstream protection is needed, the breaker coordinates with gG fuses at specific voltages: 50 A at 400 V, 40 A at 500 V, and 35 A at 690 V. That means if you're feeding this breaker from a 400 V supply, a 50 A gG fuse upstream will clear faults without nuisance trips or damage to the breaker. The rated operational voltage span is 20 to 690 V, covering most low-voltage industrial networks.
Mounting and wiring — DIN rail, screw terminals, any position
The screwdriver shaft needs a 5 to 6 mm diameter, Pozidriv size 2 tip. Main contact screws are M4.
