SIRIUS shunt release for 3RV2 breakers
The Siemens 3RV2902-2DF0 is a SIRIUS shunt release designed as an accessory for 3RV2 motor circuit breakers. It provides remote tripping capability via a 90-110 V AC control supply at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with an extended operating range of 70-190 V AC for short-duration (5 s) energization and a 100% ON-period rating at the nominal voltage. The 90-110 V AC pick-up range means this release integrates directly into standard control-voltage circuits without an intermediate transformer. The 100% ON-period rating at nominal voltage allows continuous coil energization for applications where the breaker must be held in a tripped-ready state.
Fit and panel integration
Snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with a width of 18.5 mm and a depth of 68 mm. The narrow footprint fits into a single 18 mm DIN slot, leaving adjacent space for auxiliary contact blocks or other control devices on the same rail. Compatible with SIRIUS 3RV2 circuit breaker frame sizes S00, S0, S2, and S3 — covers the full range of motor protection breakers from 0.1 A up to 100 A class. The spring-type terminal (cage clamp) connection eliminates screw-torque variability and speeds panel wiring. IP20 finger-safe touch protection on the front per IEC 60529, suitable for control cabinets where operators access the front panel. Degree of pollution 3 (conductive pollution or dry non-conductive pollution that becomes conductive) rated insulation voltage of 690 V AC.
