It combines a thermal overload relay (Class 10 trip characteristic) with a magnetic short-circuit release in a single 3-pole device. The 4 A rated operational current at AC-3 duty means it directly protects a motor drawing that full-load current, with the thermal element tracking the heating curve of the motor windings. Rated at 690 V AC-3 maximum and 50/60 Hz, it covers standard three-phase motor loads across most industrial voltages. The magnetic short-circuit release clears faults fast enough to coordinate with downstream contactors and upstream breakers in a selectivity study.
The 45 mm width (three modular units) and 96 mm depth fit standard motor control center buckets and small enclosures. Terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) — AWG equivalents 2x (18 to 12) for main contacts, 2x (20 to 16) for auxiliary. Screw torque 0.8 to 1.2 N·m on the main terminals.
Ambient conditions and durability
Withstands 25 g shock at 11 ms per IEC 60068-2-27. Relative humidity 10 to 95 % during operation — suitable for unconditioned plant-floor environments.
