The 22 A rating means it directly protects a motor drawing up to that full-load current — the Class 10 trip characteristic ensures it clears a stalled rotor fast enough for standard induction motors without nuisance tripping on startup inrush.
At 45 mm wide (S0 frame), it occupies a single modular slot, leaving room for auxiliary contact blocks or a separate contactor alongside on the same rail. Screw-type terminals on top and bottom accept solid or stranded copper: 2×(1…2.5 mm²) or 2×(2.5…10 mm²) per pole, with tightening torque 2…2.5 N·m.
Rated operational current 22 A at AC-3 at 400 V — this is the motor-switching rating, not the resistive (AC-1) value. The maximum operating voltage is 690 V AC, so the breaker can be used on 400 V, 480 V, or 690 V line supplies as long as the motor FLA stays at or below 22 A.
